COALESCE CS:GO TEAM DEPARTURE + BUSINESS RESTRUCTURE PLANS

Coalesce can confirm today that we have sadly not renewed a deal with our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, resulting in their contracts expiring and the team departing the organisation. Picking up the 1PIN roster (Ryan “dox” Young, Oscar “AZUWU” Bell, Oliver “leaf” Jackson, Kristiyan Stanislavov “Krs7n” Mladenov, and Tobias B “shyyne” Sæther) in January 2023 was a no-brainer for us, with their impressive results across the board in 2022, they were a young dynamic team that could go on to challenge for ESL Challenger League and beyond in Europe.

Our first order of business was returning to EpicLan in February this year, in order to take back our CS:GO title, which we secured after a competitive group stage, in addition to a victory over Viperio in the grand finals 2-1. Under the Coalesce banner, the team has performed at a high level in multiple tournaments and leagues, posting impressive results during their time with us. The roster secured ESEA Playoffs, reaching the semi-finals and then unfortunately falling to Hydra Esports. This secured us our spot in ESL Relegations, however we fell, taking a 0-2 loss to Websterz to finish the season.

I would like to place on record my sincere thank you to Dox and the team for coming under the Coalesce banner and representing us to the highest regard. This team have a great career ahead of them and I wish them the best of luck where they go next. – Paul Young, Coalesce CEO

Coalesce Founder & CEO Samuel “Kanny” Hollinrake Steps down

Coalesce Founder & CEO Samuel “Kanny” Hollinrake has announced he will be stepping down as CEO of Coalesce Esports and Entertainment. Kanny was an integral part of Coalesce, bringing in our first Counter-Strike team which went on to win EpicLan 34 and the SiGMA Esports Cup Malta 2021, and also recruiting our latest roster, which went on to win EpicLan 38. Kanny has devoted his time and efforts into building Coalesce into what it is today, and we thank him for everything he has done for the team here.

The time for change and how we are building for the future

Coalesce will be going quiet for the short term, in order to restructure the business and let the board put in place the correct measures and action to build for the future. As we look to the future, we have mutually agreed with our content creators Raine & Sashaino to let them explore new opportunities. We wish them the best for the future and thank them for everything they have done for us.

The Coalesce Team thanks the community for supporting us along our journey so far and we plan to come out a lot stronger for the future once we rise again.

-Team Coalesce
